Cat & Cage Folk Club – Colm Gavin and Kenan Flannery

Colm Gavin, a celebrated Dublin songwriter signed to BEO Records, has achieved remarkable success with his releases ‘Your Endless Slumber’ and ‘A Voice for The Urban Darlings’, both topping album charts in Ireland and the UK. Known for his witty performances and sensitive songwriting, Gavin has performed at renowned venues like Vicar Street, Bord Gais Energy Theatre, and Birdland Theatre in New York City. Praised for writing  ‘bone breakingly beautiful’ music, Kenan Flannery is a 25-year-old award-winning songwriter from Dublin. At his core he is a storyteller for the working class, with a voice  ‘that hits you with the intensity of a hundred Irish poets and musicians’. He mixes his upbringing in Irish Folk & Ballads with his love of American Folk music and has been compared to the likes of  John Prine, Townes Van Zandt  and  Luke Kelly. The lads team up for a very special show, with support from singer-songwriter Stu Da.
