The Cat & Cage Folk Club presents Greene & Shine. RTE Folk Awards-nominated artists, GREENE & SHINE straddle the boundaries of Indie, Americana and Folk, with intertwining harmonies, skilful stringwork and fine song-writing. An important part of the Cork and national Folk and Americana scenes, Noel Shine & Mary Greene have lent their talents to the recordings of Republic of Loose, Christy Moore, Mick Hanly, Frances Black and John Spillane, amongst many others. Their wonderful instrumental & songwriting partnership has propelled them to the No.1 spot of the RTE Radio 1 playlist on several occasions, while their debut album ‘The Land You Love The Best’ was placed in the top 3 Folk albums by The Irish Times.
